History of Tran Quoc Pagodomain authority – The Oldest Buddhist Pagoda in Hanoi

When Tran Quoc Pagodomain authority was first erected during King Ly Nam De Dynasty, between year 544 và 548 on the bank of Red River (within Yen Phu Ward, Tay Ho District now), it was known as “Khai Quoc” (means opening a country). Until the 15th century, in the reign of King Le Thai Tong, it was renamed lớn “An Quoc” (means a peaceful country). Tran Quoc Pagodomain authority Opening Hours và Entrance Fee

Tran Quoc Pagodomain authority opens daily 7:30 am onwards, the pagoda is không lấy phí to lớn enter all year long, although it gets packed with devotees during annual festivals such as Tet & Buddha’s Birthday. Because the pagodomain authority is a place of worship, travelers should dress conservatively out of respect for the monks and locals. In addition, there is no entrance fee for visiting Tran Quoc Pagodomain authority, thus tourists can visit anytime during the day until late in the afternoon.
